Rangers striker Andy Little has been called up to Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland squad for the final two World Cup qualifiers.
Little was drafted in on Saturday night after Aberdeen forward Josh Magennis was forced to withdraw through injury.
Magennis – who came on as a second half substitute in the Dons’ 1-0 defeat to Ross County on Saturday – has pulled out with a knee injury.
Little – who made his Northern Ireland debut against Poland in 2009 – aired his delight on his official Twitter account on Sunday, tweeting: “Got a call last night + I’ve been called into N.Ireland squad for last 2 qualifiers. Delighted to be back involved. Azerbaijan 2moro! #GAWA”
Northern Ireland play Azerbaijan on Friday and complete their World Cup qualifying campaign against Israel four days later.
