Another draw for Dungannon Swifts at Shamrock Park

PORTADOWN 1 DUNGANNON 1

Dungannon Swifts earned a valuable point from their trip to Shamrock Park on Saturday.

Darren Murphy’s side claimed a 1-1 draw against Portadown - their ninth stalemate of the season from 17 league outings.

Josh Cahoon gave the Swifts the lead in the 16th minute when he slotted past David Miskelly to break the deadlock.

Portadown were level after 24 minutes when Darren Murray converted a penalty after Niall Morgan brought down Ross Redman.

Morgan then saved from Kevin Braniff while Neil McCafferty also tested the Swifts goalkeeper.

Cahoon almost restored Dungannon’s lead with a 30-yard volley and Redman cleared an effort off the line.
