Cliftonville midfielder Barrry Johnston stresses complacency will not be an issue when Premiership basement strugglers Warrenpoint Town visit Solitude on Saturday.
The title holders returned to winning ways against Ballinamallard last weekend and experienced Johnston believes the Reds are now back on track.
“We’ve had a few disappointing results,” he said. “But in the games against Glenavon and Crusaders, which we lost, we created loads of chances.
“This time last season, those chances were going into the net. But with big Joe (Gormley) and Boycie (Liam Boyce) up front, it was only a matter of time before we turned it around . . . they’ll always get you goals.
“I’m not into making excuses, but we have also been badly hit with injuries.
“We were more like ourselves at Ballinamallard. It’s important to build on that result, but we’ll be taking nothing for granted against Warrenpoint.
“They are battling for every point and gave us a really tough game at Dungannon earlier in the campaign.”
