Cliftonville stalwart George McMullan will be honoured on Monday night with a special testimonial game against a Celtic XI side at Solitude.
McMullan has enjoyed 15 years of stellar success with the north Belfast Reds, a career encompassing 541 appearances and an impressive 102 goals.
Numerous trophies have been gleaned during that time, including back-to-back Irish Premiership titles in 2013 and ‘14.
McMullan – whose current contract expires this summer – is mulling over his future.
The versatile midfielder has hinted at possibly retiring next month, but could now be tempted to continue playing.
“We will wait and see what happens,” the 34-year-old said.
“I had considered calling it a day, but people keep telling me I have more to offer. So you never know.”
Looking ahead to Monday night’s special testimonial game against Celtic, McMullan added: “It is fantastic to have this game. I am so grateful to everyone involved.
“It will hopefully be a great occasion.”
