Coleraine and Portadown played out a 2-2 draw at The Showgrounds.
The Ports had the better of the first half.
Gary Twigg has home keeper wayne Drummond at full stretch on 17 minutes as he tipped the striker’s header on to the bar.
Ronnie McFall’s side continued to have the upperhand and they edged in front on 44 minutes as Twigg held off Beverland before lobbing over Drummond.
The Bannsiders protested Twigg’s foot was high in the build up but referee Tim Marshall gave the goal.
Half time couldn’t come quick enough for the home side as Twigg was denied by a great save from Drummond, before Joel Bradley hacked Murray’s header off the line from the resulting corner.
The Ports suffered a blow after the break as Ross Redman picked up a nasty looking knee injury.
And just after the hour mark Stephen Lowry tied up the scores as he drove a shot in off the far post.
Parity lasted only eight minutes though as Kevin Braniff added another wonder goal to his collection curling home from the edge of the box after Lowry had fouled him.
The visitors couldn’t hold on though as Gareth Tommons drew the side level again after Gary Browne had teed him up six yards out.
Both sides went close to grabbing a winner at the death but in the end they had to make do with a share of the spoils.
