INFLUENTIAL midfield duo Ruairi Harkin and Michael Hegarty have signed new deals with Coleraine.
Both players have agreed extensions which will see them remain at the Showgrounds until 2015.
Harkin and Hegarty were due to come out of contract next summer.
Manager Oran Kearney – who has also promoted teenager Joel Bradley to the club’s first team – said he is delighted with the news.
“I can’t really say much about Ruairi that hasn’t already been said this season,” Kearney told Coleraine’s official website.
“When we signed him, he was relatively unknown and it took him a while to settle in, due to him being a bit behind the other players in terms of fitness.
“He worked really hard in pre-season and now we’re seeing the benefits of that. He’s been in great form all season and I still feel there’s more to come from him.
“I think Hegs has been superb this season. He’s the sort of player who maybe doesn’t always get the credit he deserves, but rest assured that the coaching staff value him very highly and see him as an integral part of the squad.
“As one of our senior pros he’s a great example to the younger players and just a great character to have at the club.”
