Manager Stephen Baxter is hoping for some home cheer when Crusaders renew rivalries with IF Brommapojkarna at Seaview on Thursday night (7.45pm kick-off).
The Crues suffered a 4-0 defeat to the Swedish side in the first leg of their Europa League second qualifying round tie last week.
The heavy reverse has turned Thursday’s return leg into a bit of a dead rubber as far as Crusaders’ European aspirations are concerned.
But determined boss Baxter is hoping his side can earn a home success at Seaview.
“They were very sharp and slick last week and scored four goals – they probably could have had more,” Baxter said.
“That’s what you get when you come up against quality full-time opposition, and it is always going to be a massive test for us.
“But I was proud of my players. They stuck to a gameplan but were undone by some quality. We will now prepare for Thursday’s return leg at Seaview and hopefully get a decent result for the fans.
“We have to enjoy these games in Europe.”
Suspended Josh Robinson misses the game.
