Crusaders claimed their first home league win since January by beating Ballymena United at sun-splashed Seaview.

Crusaders wasted a great opening on 37 minutes when Paul Heatley burst clear but could only shoot wastefully wide of the near post.

Ballymena also wasted a great opening a minute after the restart when David Cushley shot wide having been sent clear by Allan Jenkins.

The home side broke the deadlock on the hour mark when Eamon McAllister converted from a Declan Caddell knock-down.
