Dungannon Swifts condemned Coleraine to a seventh consecutive league defeat as they won 2-0 at The Showgrounds.

It was the visitors who created the game’s first real opening as Matt Hazley crashed a shot off the woodwork with 28 minutes gone.

Coleraine responded with Ruairi Harkin being denied by a great block from Adam McMinn on 38 minutes. And right on the half time whistle Aaron Canning fired a shot just wide of the target.

Dungannon edged in front on the hour mark as Terry Fitzpatrick headed in Hazley’s corner from close range.

David Ogilby spurned a great opportunity to tie things up with 15 minutes to go but he headed over from six yards.

And it proved costly as Johnny Topley made it 2-0 with 10 minutes to go latching on to Hegarty’s poor back header.
