Dungannon Swifts boss Darren Murphy is under no illusions ahead of Saturday’s clash with basement battlers Ards.
Ards may be rooted to the bottom of the Danske Bank Premiership, but Murphy is expecting a tough afternoon at Stangmore Park.
“The fact that Ards are bottom means nothing - this is going to be another difficult test for us,” he said.
“We keep saying it, but every week presents a hurdle for you. It doesn’t matter who you are playing, you are ensured of a tough game.
“So I expect Ards to be fired up. They desperately need the points, but we are determined to get the win ourselves.”
Dungannon have enjoyed an encouraging start to the new season - Murphy’s side sit fifth in the table, five points off leaders Cliftonville.
“It has been a decent start and we have picked up some valuable points, but there is a long way to go,” he added.
“We have to make sure we consistently get something out of games to keep us away from the bottom end of the table.
“We are only four points off the top, but at the same time we are only four points off 10th spot. The league is so tight and there is very little between the top and bottom teams.”
