GLENTORAN 0 COLERAINE 0
TEN-man Glentoran survived a second half onslaught to grab an unlikely Danske Premier League point against Coleraine at the Oval.
Eddie Patterson’s team had midfielder Mark Clarke dismissed on 37 minutes following a horrible challenge on Ruari Harking. Referee Raymond Crangle had the red card out in a flash.
Coleraine midfielder Stephen Lowry missed the best chance of the game on 56 minutes.
Curtis Allen cleverly cut in from the right and, just he was about to pull the trigger, he had the ball whipped off his toe by Lowry, but his shot shamefully sailed over the crossbar.
Glens goalkeeper Elliott Morris pulled off a marvellous save to deny David Ogilby, but had no chance with Lowry’s powerful drive that crashed back off a post.
