Glentoran’s clash with St Patrick’s Athletic to be shown live on Setanta Sports

Glentoran’s opening clash in this season’s Setanta Sports Cup will be screened live by Setanta Sports on Monday, February 11.

The Glens open their account with a first round, first leg showdown with St Patrick’s Athletic at Richmond Park in Dublin (7.30pm kick-off).

Setanta Sports will screen seven matches live during the 2013 competition up to and including the final and a decision on which first round second leg tie is to be shown live will made by the broadcaster following the first leg games.

The draw for the quarter-finals will take place immediately following the completion of the First Round.

The details of the first round games were confirmed on Wednesday following a meeting in Newry of the Setanta Sports Cup Committee and a Workshop with the participating clubs.

The Setanta Sports Committee has also agreed to introduce six match officials for the semi-finals and the final with the extra cost being borne by the Referees Departments of the Football Association of Ireland and the Irish Football Association.

The arrangements for the first round are as follows:

First Round First Leg Monday, February 11, 2013: Cork City v Cliftonville, Turner’s Cross Stadium, Cork, 7.45pm; Shamrock Rovers v Coleraine, Tallaght Stadium, Dublin, 7.45pm; St Patrick’s Athletic v Glentoran, Richmond Park, Dublin, 7.30pm; Drogheda United v Portadown, United Park, Drogheda, 7.45pm.

First Round Second Leg Monday, February 18, 2013: Cliftonville v Cork City, Solitude, Belfast, 7.45pm; Coleraine v Shamrock Rovers, The Showgrounds, Coleraine, 7.45pm; Glentoran v St Patrick’s Athletic, The Oval, Belfast, 7.45pm; Portadown v Drogheda United, Shamrock Park, Portadown, 7.45pm.
