Gary Hamilton is confident Glenavon’s attacking threat will stand them in good stead this season.
The Lurgan Blues conceded three goals in their season opener against Ballymena United last week - but they hammered home six in return.
The 6-3 victory was just the start Hamilton was craving as he looks to improve on last year’s ninth-placed finish.
Looking ahead to today’s clash with Glentoran at Mourneview Park, Hamilton said: “Last week was like coming away with a 3-0 win when you look at the goals, and if you offered that to be before kick-off I would have taken your hand off.
“We are decent going forward, from the midfielders to the strikers.
“Even our defenders are chipping in.
“Obviously we want to tighten up at the back, but I feel if we can keep scoring goals then we will come away from most games with some reward.
“We want to entertain and play attractive football for the fans.
“I remember the way Glenavon used to play and we want to try and replicate that.”
