It was another afternoon of frustration for Cliftonville as the champions’ stuttering start to the defence of their title continued at Stangmore Park.
A Ciaran Caldwell strike salvaged a point for the Reds against Dungannon Swifts, who remain unbeaten on their own ground.
The home side, who had earlier struck the post via a Jamie Douglas header, led through Darren Boyce’s fourth goal in six games.
The goal came in the 64th minute. Matt Hazley’s free-kick was spilled by the goalkeeper, and Boyce capitalised with a diving header.
But the visitors were level eight minutes later via Caldwell, who scored with a low drive after his initial shot on a Liam Boyce pass was blocked.
