Glenavon have been allocated 3,500 tickets for next month’s Irish Cup final against Ballymena United.
It has been confirmed that the Lurgan Blues’ supporters will be housed in the North Stand at Windsor Park.
Ballymena’s fans will occupy the Kop Stand and South Stand– which boast a combined capacity of 4,488 – for the May 3 decider.
The swell of anticipation is already building ahead of next month’s end-of-season showpiece.
Ballymena are preparing for their first final since 1989 – when they beat Larne 1-0 – while Glenavon’s last success came back in 1997 when they beat Cliftonville 1-0.
The Irish Football Association yesterday confirmed that admission prices have been set at £15, with a concession rate of £8 also available.
Ballymena official Don Stirling believes there will be a high demand for tickets when they are released – possibly this weekend.
“The buzz around the club’s first Irish Cup final in a quarter of a century is growing,” he said.
“We are expecting a high uptake of tickets when they are made available.”
