JORDAN Owens’ glorious double grabbed a vital three points for Crusaders in their Premier League showdown against Linfield at Seaview.
The big striker shot Stephen Baxter’s boys into a first half lead before bagging a beauty to kill off the on 67 minutes.
There was a distinct lack of atmosphere at the Shore Road venue due to the fact that a large majority of Linfield fans boycotted the fixture following Crusaders’ decision to take legal action against the IFA over the redevelopment of Windsor Park.
The North Belfast club insisted that Government funding would hand the Blues an unfair financial advantage over the rest of the Irish League. It was a dispute that ultimately finished in the High Court before Crusaders agreed a settlement with the IFA.
