Ballymena United have signed defender Kyle McVey ahead of Saturday’s NI Hospice Charity Shield.
McVey could make his debut against Cliftonville at Solitude in the glamour pre-season fixture – which returns following a 14-year absence.
“He ticks all the boxes - Kyle is good on the ball and brings experience to our squad,” Ballymena boss Glenn Ferguson said of the former Coleraine and Linfield defender.
“He knows the Irish League very well and he is another positive addition.
“We are looking forward to Saturday’s game, and also to the start of the new Premiership season on August 9.”
