Linfield boss Warren Feeney believes new signing Kirk Millar will inject plenty of excitement into the Irish League.
The 22-year-old forward has agreed a two-year deal with the Blues.
“Kirk can play on the wing or up front. He actually came through our Academy before moving to Oldham,” said Feeney, whose side kicks-off its Premiership campaign away to Portadown on Saturday.
“He is only 22 but has played a lot of games for Oldham and also at Chorley where he was on loan.
“Kirk has also featured for Northern Ireland’s Under 21 team , so he has plenty of experience.
“He’s got lots of ability and he can play anywhere across the front line or just behind the front line. He’s an intelligent player who’s at a great age.
“When fully fit, Kirk is an exciting player. Obviously, he’s a wee bit behind in terms of his fitness levels but we won’t be long in getting him up to speed with the rest of the squad. When we get him fully fit, he’ll be a great addition to the squad.”
