Linfield have confirmed new deals for midfielder Jamie Mulgrew and striker Peter Thompson.
Mulgrew has signed a new two-year contract, while striker Thompson – who was being linked with a summer move to Ballymena United – has penned a one-year extension.
“I’m delighted to have signed for the club today. I never had any doubt in my mind,” Mulgrew said.
“Everybody knows my feelings about this club. There were just a couple of wee things I needed to get sorted out and thankfully, they have been, so I’m just delighted to have got matters resolved.
“There was no doubt that I wanted to stay here. I never spoke to anybody else and there was no need for me to speak to anyone else.”
Thompson added: “I’m as enthusiastic about signing this contract as I was with every previous one.
“I grew up supporting the club and this was the club I always wanted to play for. I’ve been here quite a while and I’ve been fortunate to have played many times for the club but I’m just as hungry to keep on playing for the club.”
Blues boss Warren Feeney added: “I’m delighted to keep both players at the club.
“Both are very experienced and know what it takes to win trophies at this club.”
