Linfield’s Daryl Fordyce equalised with a minute left to deny Glenavon an away win at Windsor Park on Saturday.
In a poor first half where neither side created chances Linfield’s Brian McCaul sent an over-kick wide.
Then after the break Glenavon keeper Andy Coleman saved Peter Thompson’s penalty before Ciaran Martyn’s 77th minute shot managed to squeeze past Alan Blayney to give the Lurgan Blues the lead.
But Fordyce scored to earn his side a share of the spoils but the Blues are now 14 points behind leaders Cliftonville.
