Two goal Andy Waterworth kept Linfield on title track against nine-man Crusaders at Seaview on Satuday.

Defender Nathan Hanley got the Crues off to the best possible start by ramming home a 20 yard free kick affter only five minutes.

Aaron Burns equalised for the Blues on 15 minutes, finish off a Niall Quinn pass.

The visitors stormed into the lead five minutes before the interval through Andy Waterworth, who finished off another Quinn cross.

Paul Heatley was then dismissed for kicking out at Linfield skipper Michael Gault.

Against all the odds, Timmy Adamson headed the Crues level on 62 minutes, finishing off a Hanley free kick.

But the Blues came roaring 11 minutes later. Michael Gault surged into the Crues box and flashed the ball across the face of the goal and Waterworth finished from two yards.

Crusaders were reduced to nine man with 10 minutes to go when substitute Chris Morrow clattered into Philip Lowry and was promptly shown a red card by Mr Hetherington.
