Linfield Football Club will begin their search for a new manager this week.

The Windsor Park giants are on the hunt for a successor to David Jeffrey – who is to stand down at the end of the season.

The Blues are expected to advertise the post this week.

Speculation continues to mount over who will fill the high-profile void following Jeffrey’s departure at the end of April.

Linfield’s number one target Tommy Wright this week ruled himself out of the running, while Ballymena United boss Glenn Ferguson has also distanced himself from the post.

Former Blues midfielder Pat Fenlon remains a strong candidate, while ex-Northern Ireland strikers David Healy and Warren Feeney continue to be tentatively linked with the job, along with Northern Ireland youth coach Stephen Robinson.
