THE Lisburn Rovers Visual Impairment squad will travel to the Futsal Arena, Birmingham this Saturday for their fourth round of league fixtures in the Partially Sighted football league.

It has been a tough baptism for the boys from Lisburn, in the top tier of Partially Sighted football for the first time.

Team captain, Niall Dempsey said: “Our players are enjoying the challenge of competing against the best players in England; we knew it would be tough but to be playing at this level of football in such a short space of time speaks volumes for our players’ attitude and commitment.”

The Lisburn club is run jointly by the Irish football Association and RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind).

Anyone with a Visual Impairment is welcome to come to the weekly sessions at Lisburn Leisureplex every Saturday morning: Juniors (7–14 years): 10:00am-11:00am; Seniors (15 years and over) 11:00am-12:00pm.
