Linfield defender Niall Quinn has been ruled out of Saturday’s crunch showdown with Cliftonville.
Quinn is struggling with a hamstring injury and will miss the visit of the champions to Windsor Park.
Linfield are also without defender Sean Ward and midfielder Philip Lowry who are both suspended.
Blues boss David Jeffrey has also placed captain Michael Gault in the “doubtful category” ahead of the fixture.
“At this stage we are not sure how long he (Quinn) will be unavailable for but certainly at this stage, we can say that he will not be fit for Saturday,” Jeffrey told the club’s official website.
“In the doubtful category at the minute is Michael Gault. He will not train on Tuesday, so we will wait and see how he is on Thursday night.”
Meanwhile, Ballymena United are unlikely to risk goalkeeper Aaron Shanahan ahead of the club’s Irish Cup semi-final date with Queen’s University on April 5.
Shanahan is expected to be rested for Saturday’s league game with Dungannon Swifts – teenage keeper Macauley Cairns could deputise.
