Oran Kearney admits Coleraine will be out for revenge when they face derby rivals Ballymena United at the Warden Street Showgrounds on Saturday.

The Bannsiders suffered their first derby defeat since 2009 when they lost 3-2 to the Sky Blues on Boxing Day.

Kearney – whose side were knockout out of the Irish Cup seven days ago – is hoping to give the club’s fans something to cheer.

“It was Ballymena’s first win over us in a long time in the league, and it did hurt,” he said.

“So we will out to put that right on Saturday. I think we are in a better place now than we were back in December.

“I believe we are a better team.”
