Scott Davidson and Aaron Boyd bag goals to seal Irish Cup victory for Distillery over Dundela

Goals from Aaron Boyd and Scott Davidson booked Lisburn Distillery an Irish Cup quarter final spot on Tuesday night.

Dundela swooped into a shock lead on 21 minutes when Ben Roy nipped onto a slack backpass to causally poke the ball under the stranded goalkeeper Windrum.

Distillery bagged an equaliser in first half stoppage time when Andy Hunter’s monster throw was flicked over the line by Boyd.

The Whites struck again seven minutes into the second half. Michael Halliday’s delicious pass sent Davidson hurtling through the middle totally unmarked and his finish was clinical.

Distillery: Windrum, Smyth, Harkness, Hunter, Simpson, McCullough Davidson, McCann, Halliday, Boyd, Gordon (Forsythe 88).

Subs: Hughes, Bell, Ferguson, Melly.

Dundela: Sergeant, Murphy (Irwin 74), Davison, Faulkner, Hume, Gourley (Jackson 74), Cherry, Gilliland (McCain 76), McClelland, Roy McCullough.

Subs: Bailie, Collins.

Referee: A Davey.
