Stephen Baxter hopes Crusaders can continue translating good performances into points in the weeks ahead.
The Crues stormed to maximum reward with a solid 3-0 win against Glentoran last week, and recently enjoyed a deserved 2-0 win over Linfield.
Sandwiched in between those successes were draws against Coleraine and Dungannon Swifts respectively, while the Seaview men have also suffered early-season defeats to Ballinamallard and Ballymena United.
Eight points from a possible 18 has left Baxter’s men in seventh place in the table - but only four points off leaders Cliftonville.
“We have been playing well in all of the games but not always getting the result we want,” the Crues boss said.
“We deserve more than the eight points we have, but that’s football and we move on.
“Last Saturday was a solid performance and a great win against a good Glentoran side.
“We have to try and build on that and continue picking up victories.”
Looking ahead to Saturday’s game with Warrenpoint Town at Stangmore Park, Baxter said: “Warrenpoint will be very tough.
“They are hungry to succeed in the Premiership and they will be determined to get points on the board.
“But so are we and that’s what we aim to do on Saturday.”
