Ballinamallard United boss Whitey Anderson has laughed off the notion of there being ‘easy games’ in the Danske Bank Premiership.
The Mallards travel to Dixon Park on Saturday afternoon to take on basement club Ards.
Anderson admits he finds it bewildering when rival managers talk about their side approaching a ‘winnable run of games’.
He believes there are no easy fixtures in the Premiership, with Saturday’s showdown with Ards as tough as they get.
“I hear people talking about an ‘easy run of games’ and it makes me laugh” he said.
“Every week presents a different test and it is always tough.
“Saturday is no different. I would rate Ards as difficult as Linfield or Cliftonville. We have had them watched a few times and they have been unlucky not to pick up points.
“There is a fine line between victory and defeat in this league, and Ards have just fallen short of the line.
“But they will be determined to get that win that might kick on their season. We have to make sure it doesn’t happen on Saturday.”
Anderson has been pleased with his side’s response following their 11-0 mauling to Portadown two weeks ago.
“We have quickly learned that we need to fight in every game, and the players have been fantastic,” he added.
“We are in a good place right now so hopefully that can continue.”
