David Jeffrey insists Linfield must “stand up to the challenge” at Seaview on Saturday.

Jeffrey admits there is no room for error against Crusaders after the Blues suffered a 3-1 defeat to Cliftonville two weeks ago.

That result saw the Reds leapfrog Linfield at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership.

The champions – who entertain Glentoran on Saturday afternoon – have a slender one-point lead with just four games remaining this season.

“The players know they will have to stand up to the challenge of Seaview,” Jeffrey told Linfield’s official website.

“We’ve prepared well. Again this week in training, the players have worked tremendously hard and we’re really looking forward to the game on Saturday.”

Elsewhere on Saturday in Section A, Portadown will look to keep their European hopes alive with victory over Glenavon.

In Section B Coleraine entertain Ballymena United and Dungannon Swifts host Warrenpoint Town.
