Whites remain bottom of the table as Ciaran Gargan strikes late for Donegal Celtic

DENIED A WELCOME WIN: Distillery boss Tim McCann

DENIED A WELCOME WIN: Distillery boss Tim McCann

DISTILLERY 3 DON CELTIC 3

A second half goal blitz saw the points shared as Ciaran Gargan’s injury time strike earned Donegal Celtic a 3-3 draw at New Grosvenor.

Ryan Deans fired Celtic ahead on 54 minutes as Whites goalkeeper Billy Brennan was unable to hold his shot, before Scott Davidson restored parity in the 61st minute.

Distillery were then in front in the 66th minute courtesy of Ryan McCann’s superb 35-yard free-kick.

Paul McVeigh equalised for Celtic in the 70th minute before Jordan Hughes appeared to have wrapped up the points after he converted a 90th-minute penalty for the Whites.

That is until Gargan found a late equaliser to secure a share of the spoils.

A Whites remain firmly rooted to the bottom of the Danske Bank Premiership - two points adrift of Celtic who lie just above them in the table.
