Ballinamallard United manager Whitey Anderson is confident his players will prove their Premiership mettle at the Oval.
Anderson hit out at his squad following last week’s 1-0 defeat to Dungannon Swifts – a result he hopes they can erase with victory against Glentoran on Saturday.
“We proved last season that any time we suffered a set-back, we bounced back straight away,” he said.
“People kept thinking the wheels would fall off us last season, but we kept proving them wrong.
“The players have shown great spirit and determination in the past, and I believe they will do it again this season.”
Glentoran remain unbeaten this season having draw their opening game with Coleraine and then earning a 2-1 win against Glenavon.
“They are a strong side and Eddie (Patterson) has them playing good football,” Anderson added.
“The Oval is always a tough place to go and Saturday will be no different. I think we only got one point from 12 out of Glentoran last season so they were a bit of a bogey team for us.
“But so were Crusaders, and we managed to beat them on the opening day this season. “So maybe we can reverse the trend with Glentoran.”
