Whitey Anderson hopes history can repeat itself when Ballinamallard United step out at Windsor Park on Saturday.
The Mallards shocked Linfield not once but twice last season as they recorded two surprise victories at the international stadium.
The first came 14 months ago when the Fermanagh underdogs claimed a 3-1 Premiership win.
They repeated the dose back in April with another 1-0 triumph.
Lightning has already struck twice, and Anderson is confident his side can continue their stellar form at Windsor on Saturday.
“It was obviously fantastic winning at Windsor Park. Even to play there was something for the players to enjoy,” the Mallards boss said.
“To win once was fantastic, but then to do it again was unbelievable. It showed the character of the players, and also the quality we have.
“But those two results are history now. They don’t have any bearing on this season.
“We have to go out and try and emulate those two performances and try and get another positive result. And I am confident we can do that.
“I have a team that works from the first to the 90th minute, and you hope during that time the quality in your side will shine through.”
