Whitey Anderson insists ‘Mallards will bounce back’

MOVING ON: Whitey Anderson

MOVING ON: Whitey Anderson

BALLINAMALLARD United manager Whitey Anderson is confident his players will bounce back from last week’s defeat to Crusaders.

Paul Heatley’s brace for the Crues ended a six-game winning streak for the Mallards in the Danske Bank Premiership.

Now the Fermanagh outfit are hoping to kick-start another run with victory over Ballymena United at the Showgrounds on Saturday afternoon.

“We had won six on the bounce before last week and we were very disappointed with last week’s result against Crusaders,” he said.

“We knew the run would come to an end, but the aim now is to go on another run. The players can’t wait for Saturday.

“It is another challenge but one we are looking forward to. We knew it would be a massive test for us in the Premiership but we have proved we can cope with the teams in the league.

“We will have set-backs, but it is about how you respond.”
