FOOTBALL: Jeffrey blasts laser pen yob
LINFIELD manager David Jeffrey has branded the person responsible for shining a laser pen into his eyes during last night's clash with Glentoran as "an idiot".
Jeffrey claimed he was targeted throughout the Premiership clash at The Oval.
"This is the third time this has happened, and tonight the laser was pointed at my eyes for over 70 minutes," he raged.
"It happened against Glentoran at Windsor Park as well.
"It is irresponsible and foolish and the person or people responsible are total idiots.
"How can you call yourself a supporter and shine a laser beam in someone's eye. They are a sad and sick individual.
"They were even standing doing it when I was walking off at half-time, and I could see them. Hopefully the police or someone takes action because it is scandalous."
