Monaghan and Armagh are in All-Ireland SFC qualifying action on Saturday at Croke Park.

Monaghan have had 13 days to put things right since surrendering their provincial crown to Donegal and manager Malachy O’Rourke has opted for the same 15 which lost in the Ulster final despite concerns to Dermot Malone (broken thumb), Kieran Hughes (knee) and Conor McManus (illness).

“If you don’t have your ‘A’ game together from the start, then you are going to be in trouble and playing catch-up,” said midfielder Darren Hughes ahead of the meeting with Kildare.

Armagh have yet to name their side but there are fitness concerns over Kieran McKeever.

The defender looks set to miss out with a foot injury.

Aaron Kernan or Finnian Moriarty will be drafted into the Orchard County team to replace the inspirational centre back.

Armagh also have injury worries surrounding the possible participation of Caolan Rafferty, Ethan Rafferty and Kieran Toner in the meeting with Meath.
