St Mary’s recorded a surprise 3-8 to 1-10 McKenna Cup victory over Fermanagh in Brewster Park.

The hosts started brightly, hitting the first six points, with Seamie Quigley prominent.

A Conal McCann goal helped the Belfast college into a 1-5 to 0-6 interval advantage.

Quigley netted another penalty for Peter McGrath’s men and they led again temporarily but Mary’s hammered home two more goals through Tomas Canavan and Ronan Sexton either side of that score and held on for a deserved victory.
