Clubs still have chance to feel the Force

The final whistle is blowing for all local GAA clubs who plan to register for Ulster Bank GAA Force as entries close for this year on Friday October 5.

The community initiative supports local GAA clubs by offering them the chance to win support packages to refurbish and upgrade their facilities.

Ulster Bank, official sponsor of the GAA Football All – Ireland Championship, have just completed a series of roadshows bringing Ulster Bank GAA stars to the heart of local communities and encouraging clubs to register at www.ulsterbank.com/gaa.

Last year over 400 GAA clubs across the island of Ireland entered, with 105 receiving funding and hundreds of volunteers taking part in the designated Ulster GAA Force winning weekends. St. Joseph’s GFC Ederney in Fermanagh scooped the top prize which included a support package worth £22,000.

Once again, one lucky GAA club will receive a support package worth £22,000 and four runners-up (one from each province) will receive a support package worth £4,400 each.

Calling clubs to enter Ulster Bank GAA Force Ambassador, Seán Óg Ó hAilpín said: “I visited the winning clubs last year and was so impressed with their support and the role they play in the local community.

“Ulster Bank GAA Force offers clubs the opportunity to improve their facilities for members and the surrounding community.

“I would encourage all clubs to enter to be in with a chance to win one of the support packages as they are a great prize.”

Ulster Bank GAA Force is open to GAA clubs across the island of Ireland. Clubs can register until October 5 on www.ulsterbank.com/gaa.

The first 100 clubs to register for the initiative will also receive a support package worth £ 100.

“The winning clubs will be announced by early November.”
