Leona Maguire tops World Amateur golf rankings
Irish international Leona Maguire has swapped places with Andrea Lee at the top of the World Amateur Golf rankings.
The Co Cavan 20-year-old, a member of the Slieve Russell GC, is currently ranked the number one US college golfer and moved up one place after winning the NCAA South Bend Regional at the weekend.
The Duke University student edged out former world number one and teammate Celine Boutier by a shot. Scores of 72, 68 and 72 gave Maguire a four-under-par total of 212. Boutier rises two rankings to world number five.
Twin sister Lisa, has moved up 36 places to 814th.
