Northern Ireland pair Gareth Maybin and Michael Hoey suffered poor finishes as their Nordea Masters hopes took a late dent on Friday.

Maybin carded consecutive double bogeys at 16 and 17 which saw him drop him back to two under as he finished his second round in Sweden on 75.

Hoey endured similar misfortune when he also doubled bogeyed the same holes as his 75 left him on level par and six off joint leaders Alvaro Quiros, Victor Dubuisson and Eddie Pepperell.

PGA Championship runner-up Shane Lowry will be in action over the weekend after a 73 left him alongside Hoey on level par.
