Michael Hoey narrowly made it through to the weekend at Lyoness Open in Austria.
Hoey looked to be moving into contention after playing the opening nine holes in three under, but he struggled over the back nine, coming home in five over 41 for a second round 74.
He starts todays third round on three over par in a share of 61st place.
Ireland’s Simon Thornton is on one over heading into the weekend with Ruaidhri McGee on one under par.
Mikael Lundberg leads the way on nine under par, adding a 68 to his opening 67 at Diamond Country Club to finish one shot ahead of playing partner Lee Slattery.
“I hit a lot of good shots early on and managed to make some putts, so that got my confidence up,” said Lundberg.
“It’s a nice feeling when you get your distance control right with your wedges, because it takes a lot of pressure on your putting.
“The course got really firm and fast towards the end.”
