Greg Allen could reach an unbelievable goal scoring milestone for Cookstown this weekend.
Allen only needs three goals to notch up his 100th goal for the club and in his current form that is definitely on the cards, as he has already notched up 17 goals this season.
Allen could easily have reached this milestone, but 14 months ago he sustained a serious facial injury in the Reds clash with Cork Harlequins, which ruled him out for a few months.
But since then he has not looked back, and even when he went to Australia to play for one of Perth’s top sides he kept on banging the goals in, to finish as the club’s top goal-scorer.
This week Cookstown travel to Civil Service, and the last time the two sides met, Service suffered an 11-0 mauling, and Allen scored four of them.
Newry will be out to secure all three points against visitors PSNI. North Down travel to South Antrim, Bangor welcome Campbellians and Antrim travel to Cliftonville and the Belmont side must start winning points or they face the drop to Senior Two.
