Eleven Ulster players have been named in the Ireland under 18 squad to face Scotland in a three-match series in Dublin later this month.
All except one have Premier League experience and goalkeeper Ayeisha McFerran has already played for Ireland at senior level.
It will be quite a month for the Larne Grammar School student as she has also been selected for the national squad to take part in the Champions Challenge in Glasgow later in the month.
In fact the day after the last of the U18 games against Scotland she will fly out with the senior squad to Glasgow.
She is one of the survivors from the Ireland squad that took part in last year’s EuroHockey Youth tournament in Dublin. Ayeisha is one of four Randalstown players in the U18 squad and she is joined by club mates Zoe Wilson, Alex Ogilby and Faye Kidd in the trip to Dublin.
