Forrest can’t stop scoring goals

ANDY Forrest just can’t help scoring goals this weather, as he notched up four goals in Lisnagarvey’s 7-2 mauling of bottom of the table Antrim, with James Dowling (2) and Greg Thompson sharing the other goals.

That is seven goals for the Blues striker in three games but even with the win, Garvey are sitting in fourth place, two points behind leaders Banbridge.

Bann also went on a goal-scoring rampage, this time at Belfast Harlequins with two goals from Stephen Dowds and one each from Dane Ward, Scott Caruth and Colin Dowds securing the points.

Instonians slid into second spot, as they brought maximum points home from Kilkeel.

Two goals from William Robinson and one from James Corry sealed the 3-2 win.

Greg Allen marked his return to Cookstown with a goal but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to give the Reds a win, as they had to share the spoils with Annadale in a 2-2 draw.

It took a late strike from Stephen Sloan to earn a point, after goals from Steven Mills and William Edgar had given Dale the lead.

Mossley notched up their first point of the season, as they held Civil Service to a scoreless draw at Stormont.

Newry put the brakes on Raphoe’s charge at the top of Senior One, as they inflicted a 3-0 defeat on the leaders. Two goals from Colin McKinight and one from John Taylor captured all three points for Newry.

Second place Bangor are three points behind Raphoe, as they crushed Campbellians 6-2, which included two goals each from James Mottashaw and James Trimble.

North Down blasted seven goals past Ballynahinch, with Simon Watt, Stuart McComick and Richard Willis all scoring two each.

South Antrim had to come from behind to defeat Poratdown in an enthralling 3-2 win, with Mark Gray, John Semple and Lee marshall all on target.

And Armagh are firmly entrenched at the foot of the table, as they went down 5-2 to Queens, Andy Bell grabbing two of the five goals.
