Irish FA joins MLAs for all ‘party’ launch

THIS week the Irish FA and local MLAs launched the first all party group on football at Stormont. The purpose of the group is to discuss a wide range of issues relating to football, from international and domestic to grassroots football.

David Hilditch, Chair of the all party group on football said: “I am delighted that this group has been set up.

“We have a vast number of MLAs that are interested in football and this group gives us the platform to work closely together with the Irish FA over the coming years.”

Geoff Wilson, Head of Marketing and Communications at the Irish FA added: “The Irish FA is delighted to be involved in the all party group on football at Stormont. The Association is keen to continue to build on our excellent links with our politicians, giving them the opportunity to feedback on any footballing issues as well as gain support on a wide range of projects such as the introduction of small-sided games or the redevelopment of the National Stadium.”
