THE Irish FA’s Football for All project was represented at the ‘Bringing Divided Communities Together – Sharing the Experience of the EU Programme’ Conference in Brussels. Football for All was one of three projects chosen to represent Northern Ireland and the border areas to demonstrate how the EU PEACE Programme has supported peace building activities in the region.
Michael Boyd, Head of Community Relations and Maria Wilson, Volunteer Development and Policy Officer, gave a presentation on the project so far.
From its humbling beginnings in 2000, the Football for All project has developed and supported important initiatives such as the interface work with Limestone United, Street League which accommodates for marginalised groups, and World and Women’s World United which brings those from different background together to help integration.
