John Breen believes his fighters Jamie Conlan and Marc McCullough will thrive in the limelight on September 6.

Belfast boys Conlan and McCullough will take to the ring on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s IBF World title fight against Kiko Martinez in the Titanic Quarter.

Around 16,000 fans will be in attendance at the venue and millions more will be watching the action live on television.

Breen says Conlan and McCullough will show the world what they have to offer.

“They are both in fantastic shape and they are ready to prove to everyone how good they are.

“Both lads have still loads left in their lockers and they are just getting better and better and boxing fans will see how good they are on September 6,” he added.

Conlan faces Daryly Basadre for the WBO Inter-Continental title and Breen says the super-flyweight is on the verge of something big.

“He wins this he is in the top three or four in the world with the WBO.

“Jamie has by-passed the British title and we are in the mix for a shot for a World title, if he wins this fight. Basadre is from the Philippines and they are not known for producing bad fighters,” he added.

Breen says McCullough faces a big challenge in the shape of former World champion Dmitry Kirillov.

“He is a good fighter and you have to have talent to win a World title - they don’t hand them out.

“He was trained by Freddie Roach and he does not take anybody on board. I have watched him a few times and he is a good operator.

“This will be Marc’s hardest fight to date - but he is ready for this.

“It has also been good that we got a sponsor for Breen’s Gym - and Stuart Cranston and Anna Clugston from Home Management Services for helping with the fighters preparation. It is a great help.” he added.
