Budding athletes and fun runners should sign up for the annual Craigavon Lakes 10km race and fun run taking place on Wednesday June 1.

Organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, the route starts and finishes at Craigavon Watersports Centre and will take in the pathways around the picturesque Craigavon Lakes and City Parks areas.

For those participants who don’t fancy 10km, there will also be a 5km fun run and a 1km family challenge throughout the evening. Proceeds from the event will go to British Heart Foundation Northern Ireland Mending Broken Hearts Appeal and sponsorship forms are available on request.

The family fun run will kick off proceedings at 6.50pm with the 1km Family Challenge, followed by the 5km and 10km from 7.00pm.

To pre-register for the event please contact Sports Development on 028 3831 1692 or at www.athleticsni.org.

Closing date for applications is Monday 30th May. Applications can also be picked up at Cascades Leisure Centre, Craigavon Leisure Centre, Waves Leisure Centre, the Watersports Centre and Golf & Ski Centre.

Please note that there will be NO ‘On the Night’ registrations at this year’s event. The check-in desks will be open at 5.30pm and close at 6.45pm sharp.
