The Stadium is currently undergoing a refurbishment with new lifts and disabled toilets being installed and, with bar and catering facilities available, it’s a great opportunity to sample what’s on offer.

“The open days have proved to be a great success in recent years,” said County Antrim manager Rod Coleman.

“Basically, the doors are thrown open to anyone who wants to come along and have a game . . . it’s open to members, non-members and anyone who has never thrown a bowl before.

“We have big plans for the new season that is just around the corner. In fact, all our leagues start on September 8. But we’ll also be looking to expand our interest in the short mat game. We will be releasing more details in the near future.

“But our current thrust will be on the open days, Everyone will be made welcome.
