Derry boss Brian McIver has rung the changes ahead of Sunday’s Allianz NFL semi-final versus Mayo.

Having already secured a place in the knock-out stages, McIver made 14 alterations for last week’s encounter with the Connacht champions at Castlebar and this time there are 13 changes for the clash at Croke Park.

Oisin Duffy (right corner back) and Emmett McGuckin (full forward) are the two players who retain their places.

Fergal Doherty has recovered from a head injury he sustained in the Round six win over Kildare and lines out at midfield alongside Patsy Bradley but James Kielt who suffered a quad strain in the same game misses out.

“We were delighted to get to the semi-final because we knew it was going to give us an opportunity to get back playing in Croke Park again.

“For a young side developing, that was very important. What happened versus Mayo last Sunday) will be totally irrelevant,” said McIver.
