By 9.30pm on Friday night, Lisnagarvey could be only one point off Premiership pace-setters Banbridge, should they win at Mossley.

Banbridge have been sitting idle for nearly four weeks. If it was not frost and snow cancelling games, it was international training weekends and inter-provincials.

And, whilst they have been twiddling their thumbs they have seen their six point lead slowly being eroded away, where Garvey and Instonians are now within touching distance.

The Havelock Park faithful will be glad to at last see some premiership action but they could not have asked for a more difficult game to restart their league campaign, than reigning champions Cookstown, who are travelling with a full strength squad.

Bann will be without Peter Brown and Bruce McCandless who has flown out to Malaysia with the Irish squad, en-route to India for Round 2 of the World League.

Defeat for Bann could see the championship title being thrown open, whilst defeat for Cookstown will bring the curtain down on their challenge for the title.

Lisnagarvey travel to Mossley without Tim Cockram, whilst Mossley coach Harry McNeill has Ricky Lee missing a.

Relegation is looming for Mossley and their next six games could not be any more demanding, as they play Instonians, Annadale, Banbridge, Cookstown twice, and Lisnagarvey.
